FORMER WARROAD WARRIOR GRANT SLUKYNSKY WAS TRADED BY THE FARGO FORCE TO SIOUX CITY. SLUKYNSKY IS A NORTHERN MICHIGAN COMMIT.
EARLIER THIS WEEK, ABBY NESS AND JACK SWANSON WERE ELECTED TO THE ROSEAU ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME AND WILL BE INDUCTED IN AN OCTOBER 3RD EVENT AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL THEATER. THE 2020 HALL OF FAME CLASS WILL ALSO BE PUBLICLY RECOGNIZED AS LAST YEARS INDUCTION EVENT COULDN’T BE HELD DUE TO COVID. THAT CLASS INLUDES DEAN BLAIS, DOUG BOROWICZ, ANNELIESSE NELSON BRUNS, BOB LUND, AND THE UNBEATEN 1959 RAMS’ FOOTBALL TEAM.
THIS WEEK, RAM’S GIRLS HOCKEY PLAYER MEMPHIS MERTENS VERBALLY COMMITTED TO PLAY COLLEGE HOCKEY FOR FRANKLIN PIERECE UNIVERSITY IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. MERTENS WILL BE ENTERING HER SENIOR YEAR AT ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL IN THE FALL.
SHAVONDA BENDER BEAT A PLAY AT THE PLATE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH SCORING THE WINNING RUN, AS ROSEUA BEAT RED LAKE FALLS 6-5 IN AREA SOFTBALL.
BADGER-GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER JUMPED ON THIEF RIVER FALLS EARLY, AND THEN COASTED TO A 7-1 WIN.
THE NORTHERN FREEZE SCORED EARLY AND OFTEN, AND THEN HELD OFF A LATE PUSH FROM CROOKSTON FOR A 13-12 WIN. JAYDEN JOHNSON HAD A HOME RUN AND 7 RBI’S FOR THE FREEZE.
SKYLAR THINGVOLD AND SAMANTHA PETERSON WERE ALL CONFERENCE IN GIRLS GOLF. TIANNA ESPE WON A SENIOR ACADEMIC AWARD.

ROSEAU ALSO WON THE 4X100 RELAY.
THE LONE TITLE ON THE BOYS SIDE WENT TO THE 3200 METER RELAY TEAM.
JED DUNHAM WAS 2ND IN THE LONG JUMP AND PETER VANDEWEGE 2ND IN THE TRIPLE JUMP.
